It could easily be argued that the Traction Avant was the most advanced car of it's day, when it came to the market in 1934.
Production continued right through to 1957. Unusual for its day was the front wheel drive layout, and monocoque construction, this
when most manufacturers were committed to rear wheel drive and the separate chassis approach. The engine featured
overhead valves, and the running gear benefited from such modernities as hydraulic braking, torsion bar suspension, plus
rack and pinion steering - all this in 1934!
