A busy 1930s/40s image of central London. The stamp is franked 1949 but the image pre-dates this I think. There is a lot going on in this vintage photograph, 2 Fordson E83W vans are turning in the foreground (dating the card to late 30s) and a larger van is to the right still only wearing on blacked-out headlamp, perhaps harking back to recent wartime use? There are a few old Austin taxis in evidence and the old black & white crossing barriers in the centre of the road
